WIR SIND LINZ
Opening night

If you have a chance, go to Linz and watch "WIR
SIND LINZ" at the Landestheater. This is a terrific new revue about
how it feels to be a teenager in Linz, written & directed by
Henry Mason.
I contributed lyrics & music for two songs, "Plus City" and "Herr
Kitzmantel".

A fresh and captivating performance by Christiane Schulz, Tobias
Graupner, Daniela Dett, Matthias Hacker and
Nora Dirisamer

TSCHÜSS - Das war der ORF!
Opening night

Say good bye to Austria's federal broadcasting company! They're
shutting down after this last effort of putting up a glittering revue
with all their infamous screen celebrities and pathetic shows of the
past 50 or so years. At least that is what you're going to see at Palais
Nowak Tue-Sat through June 27. I wrote a couple of sketches and songs
for the show. Most noticeably the opening number ("Tschüss! Das war
der ORF"), a talk show with equally freaky host & guest and a spoof
on good old "Am Dam Des".

And "Der gemütliche Fernsehabend"
where a couple does a headcount of all the dead bodies they get to watch
on an average TV evening - recalling the style of Austrian songwriters
Pirron & Knapp.

Johannes Glück. "Warum san mir Ami a Weh?" - summing up why the
USA are evidently a typical developing country. "u.s.w." a
mock-musical-love-ballad with the lyrics consisting of abbreviations as
found in the personals of Austrian magazines. And new lyrics for Yael
Naim's "New soul" revealing that life and reincarnation are but a big
mess, or rather "Ein grosses Gwirks".
